Fundraising

The thing about being a disabled child is that, as you grow, your needs change and there are only so many things that are funded. When you want the best chances for your child, fundraising is the way to make more things happen and this is why we do what we can through events.

Previously money was raised for Maddie to have oxygen therapy through a sponsored bounce. Next volunteers did some sponsored bike riding to buy Maddie a specialist bike.

Every year at TVRS (SW) Ltd Maddie's parents run a couple of stalls to raise money for things that Maddie needs.

This year Maddie is having a new bedroom and wet room and although much is funded, Maddies parents are fundraising for the extras. Whilst a specialist bath and lift are provided, the warranties for these items and upgrades to a spa bath have to be paid for. Two hoists are also being installed but fundraising is required to provide a joining piece so that Maddie doesnt have to be swapped between hoist and wheel chair just getting between the bedroom and the wetroom.

Additionally, now that level access is being provided from the house, we are fundraising for a sensory garden so that Maddie can enjoy the outside with her brothers.

Thanks to Padbrook Park in Cullompton we have now started organising a fun day - have a look at our fundraising page for more info.
